For more than 100 years, the Indiana Gamma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Indiana University has played an integral role in the fraternity experience at Indiana University. Founded in 1907, the Indiana Gamma Chapter has had several homes in Bloomington that have facilitated the growth of their brotherhood. No home of Indiana Gamma was more cherished than the Jordan Crest gables, which was lost to a fire in 1969.
In 2007, the chapter was reborn with the recolonization of Indiana Gamma. The chapter was chartered in 2009 and boasted 89 men. All this had been achieved without a chapter house to call home. While this revival has been impressive, it was clear that Indiana Gamma needed a fraternity fundraising campaign for long-term sustainability.
